This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and otherwise process personal information when you use the Bidt website, mobile application, marketplace, communications, and related services collectively referred to as the “Platform.”
It also describes privacy rights that may be available to you under applicable United States privacy laws.
By using Bidt, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to personal information processed by BIDT, LLC in connection with the Bidt Platform. It applies to:
- Customers who post Projects or seek services
- Providers who create business profiles, subscribe to Bidt, undergo verification, or connect with Customer Projects
- Visitors to our website or application
- People who contact Bidt for support
- Other individuals whose personal information is processed in connection with the Platform
This Privacy Policy does not govern the independent privacy practices of Providers after they receive Customer information through a legitimate Provider Connection.
Providers are independently responsible for their handling of personal information once received, subject to Bidt's Terms and applicable law.
2. Information We Collect
The information we collect depends upon how you use Bidt.
Account and contact information may include:
- Name
- Email address
- Telephone number
- Account identifiers
- Login and authentication information
- Account type
- Communication preferences
- Other information necessary to create and maintain your account
When a Customer posts a Project, we may collect:
- Project title
- Description
- Service category
- Requested timeframe
- Project address or location
- Photographs
- Videos
- Attachments
- Measurements
- Budget information
- Responses to Project questions
- Number of Providers requested
- Other information the Customer chooses to provide
Customers should avoid including unnecessary sensitive personal information in Project descriptions, photographs, or attachments.
We may collect Provider information such as:
- Business name
- Contact person
- Business email
- Business telephone number
- Business address
- Website
- Business description
- Service categories
- Service area
- Years in business
- License information
- Insurance information
- Portfolio images
- Logo
- Professional qualifications
- Marketplace activity
- Other information submitted as part of a Provider profile
Bidt uses or may use Stripe Identity to verify Provider identities. Depending on the verification method, Stripe may collect information including:
- Identity-document images
- Facial or selfie images
- Name
- Date of birth
- Identification numbers
- Address
- Device information
- Fraud-prevention signals
- Other verification information
Stripe performs the identity-verification process as a third-party service provider. Bidt may receive information regarding verification status, verification results, identifying information, or other information permitted by the applicable Stripe integration.
Stripe may independently retain and process verification information according to Stripe's own privacy practices and the permissions presented during the verification process. Users should review Stripe's applicable privacy notices during identity verification.
3. Payment and Subscription Information
Bidt may use Stripe or another payment processor to process Provider subscriptions. Payment processors may collect information such as:
- Payment-card details
- Billing address
- Payment method
- Transaction information
- Fraud-prevention information
Bidt generally does not need to receive the complete payment-card number. We may receive information such as:
- Subscription status
- Billing period
- Payment status
- Transaction identifier
- Payment-method type
- Limited payment-method details made available by the processor
Project payments between Customers and Providers are handled outside Bidt.
Bidt does not collect or process Customer payments to Providers for the actual Services unless Bidt expressly introduces a separate payment feature in the future and updates its disclosures accordingly.
4. Provider Connection and Bid Information
When a Provider interacts with a Customer Project, we may collect:
- Project viewed
- Provider Connection status
- Date and time of Connection
- Connection method
- Bid or quote information
- Pricing type
- Availability
- Messages
- Site-visit status
- Whether a quote was provided
- Whether the Provider was selected
- Whether the Provider declined
- Marketplace Opportunity usage
- Related marketplace activity
We use this information to operate Provider Connections, enforce marketplace rules, prevent abuse, measure marketplace performance, and improve Bidt.
5. Communications
We may collect communications made through Bidt, including:
- Messages between Customers and Providers
- Customer-support communications
- Reports and complaints
- Account inquiries
- Subscription inquiries
- Feedback
Once a valid Provider Connection is created, Customers and Providers may communicate outside Bidt by telephone, text, email, or in person.
Bidt generally does not have access to those external communications unless a user later provides them to us, they are transmitted through a Bidt-integrated service, or applicable law otherwise permits access.
6. Reviews and Ratings
We may collect:
- Star ratings
- Written reviews
- Review categories
- Project associations
- Review timestamps
- Provider responses where supported
- Information used to verify whether a review relates to a legitimate marketplace interaction
Reviews may be displayed publicly or to other Bidt users in connection with Provider profiles.
7. Device, Usage, and Technical Information
When you use Bidt, we and our service providers may automatically collect information such as:
- IP address
- Browser type
- Device type
- Operating system
- Application version
- Device identifiers
- Pages or screens viewed
- Features used
- Date and time of access
- Referral information
- Crash and diagnostic information
- Authentication events
- Security events
- General interaction information
We may use cookies, software development kits, local storage, pixels, or similar technologies to support functionality, authentication, security, analytics, preferences, and Platform performance.
Where applicable law requires consent for particular technologies, Bidt will provide an appropriate consent mechanism.
8. Location Information
We may process location information when it is relevant to a Customer Project or Provider service area. This may include:
- City
- State
- ZIP code
- Project address
- Provider service radius
- Other location information supplied by the user
If Bidt later offers device-based precise location features, we will request applicable device permissions and provide disclosures as required.
Bidt does not sell precise geolocation information.
9. Information From Other Sources
We may receive information from third parties including:
- Stripe
- Identity-verification services
- Payment processors
- Authentication providers
- Fraud-prevention providers
- Publicly available sources
- Licensing or business-information sources
- Service providers
- Other users
For example, a Customer may report that a Provider supplied or failed to supply a quote, or a Provider may report that a Customer cancelled a Project.
10. How We Use Personal Information
We may use personal information to:
- Create and maintain accounts
- Authenticate users
- Verify Providers
- Operate the Customer and Provider marketplace
- Publish and distribute Customer Projects to eligible Providers
- Match Projects with relevant Providers
- Establish Provider Connections
- Reveal Customer contact information after an authorized Connection
- Facilitate bids, quotes, messaging, and reviews
- Process Provider subscriptions
- Track marketplace Opportunity usage
- Enforce Project and Provider limits
- Prevent duplicate accounts and marketplace abuse
- Provide customer support
- Investigate complaints
- Prevent fraud and security threats
- Maintain Platform integrity
- Analyze Platform usage and performance
- Develop and improve features
- Communicate operational and legal information
- Comply with legal obligations
- Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims
- Protect Bidt, our users, and others

12. Information Displayed to Customers
Customers may receive information concerning connected Providers, including:
- Business name
- Provider name where appropriate
- Profile image or logo
- Business description
- Service categories
- Service area
- Verification status
- License or insurance information where available
- Portfolio information
- Reviews and ratings
- Bid or quote information
- Availability
- Other Provider-supplied marketplace information
Some Provider profile information may also be publicly visible depending on Platform configuration.
13. Service Providers and Processors
We may disclose personal information to companies that perform services on our behalf. These may include providers of:
- Cloud hosting
- Databases
- Identity verification
- Payment processing
- Authentication
- Text messaging
- Customer support
- Mapping
- Analytics
- Security
- Fraud prevention
- Error monitoring
- Other technical infrastructure
These providers may access personal information only as necessary to provide their services, subject to contractual obligations and applicable law.
14. Stripe
Bidt uses Stripe for Provider subscription payments and may use Stripe Identity for identity verification.
Stripe may collect identifying information and information about devices connecting to its services.
For identity verification, this may include identity-document images, facial images, identification numbers, addresses, device information, fraud signals, and related information.
Stripe may use information to provide identity-verification, payment, security, and fraud-prevention services and may retain information according to Stripe's own terms and privacy policies.
Users who wish to request deletion of identity-verification information held by Stripe may need to follow Stripe's applicable privacy or support process in addition to contacting Bidt.
15. Business Transfers
If BIDT, LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar corporate transaction, personal information may be disclosed or transferred as part of that transaction.
Any successor receiving personal information will be subject to applicable privacy obligations.
16. Legal and Safety Disclosures
We may disclose information when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to:
- Comply with law
- Respond to valid legal process
- Respond to lawful government requests
- Protect the rights or property of Bidt
- Protect Customers, Providers, or others
- Investigate suspected fraud
- Investigate threats or abuse
- Enforce our Terms
- Address security incidents
17. Sale and Sharing of Personal Information
Bidt does not sell personal information for monetary consideration.
Certain U.S. privacy laws may define “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising more broadly than an ordinary sale for money.
If Bidt engages in processing that constitutes a regulated sale, sharing, or targeted advertising under an applicable privacy law, Bidt will provide any legally required notice and opt-out mechanism.
Bidt does not knowingly sell or share personal information of children under 18 for targeted advertising.
Bidt does not sell precise geolocation information.
18. Marketing
Bidt may send marketing communications where permitted by law.
Users may opt out of marketing emails by using the unsubscribe mechanism provided in the message.
Opting out of marketing does not prevent Bidt from sending transactional or operational communications such as:
- Account notices
- Security alerts
- Project notifications
- Provider Connection notices
- Verification updates
- Subscription information
- Legal notices
Providers receiving Customer information through Bidt may use that information to pursue the relevant Project. They may not use Bidt Customer information for unrelated mass marketing without obtaining any consent required by law.
19. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. Retention periods may depend on:
- Whether an account remains active
- Project and Provider Connection history
- Subscription and accounting requirements
- Fraud-prevention needs
- Marketplace-integrity requirements
- Legal obligations
- Dispute history
- Security requirements
- Applicable statutes of limitation
Deleting an account does not necessarily require immediate deletion of every historical record.
We may retain information when reasonably necessary for legal compliance, accounting, fraud prevention, security, dispute handling, enforcement, or marketplace integrity.
Where information is no longer required, we may delete, anonymize, or aggregate it.
20. Data Security
Bidt uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information.
However, no online service, database, transmission method, or security system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Users should maintain secure passwords and protect access to their accounts.

21. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live and which privacy laws apply to Bidt, you may have rights regarding your personal information. These may include the right to:
- Confirm whether Bidt processes your personal information

- Delete certain personal information
- Obtain a portable copy of certain information
- Opt out of certain sales of personal information
- Opt out of certain sharing or targeted advertising
- Opt out of certain profiling decisions where applicable
- Limit certain uses of sensitive personal information where applicable
- Receive equal service without unlawful discrimination for exercising privacy rights
These rights are subject to applicable legal exceptions.
22. Submitting a Privacy Request
To submit an applicable privacy request, contact support@contactbidt.com.
Please clearly identify the request as a “Privacy Request” and describe the right you wish to exercise.
Bidt may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
Verification may involve confirming information associated with your account.
We will respond within the period required by applicable law.
Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law, subject to appropriate verification of the agent's authority.
23. Appeals
Certain state privacy laws provide the right to appeal a denial of a privacy request.
If Bidt denies a request and applicable law provides an appeal right, you may appeal by emailing support@contactbidt.com with the subject “Privacy Request Appeal.”
Explain why you believe the request should be reconsidered.
Bidt will process the appeal within the period required by applicable law.
24. California Privacy Rights
If the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, applies to Bidt's processing of your information, California residents may have rights including:
- Right to know
- Right to access
- Right to delete
- Right to correct
- Right to opt out of certain sales or sharing
- Right to limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information where applicable
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising protected privacy rights
Bidt does not sell personal information for monetary consideration.
If Bidt engages in an activity that constitutes a “sale” or “sharing” under California law, Bidt will provide the required opt-out mechanism.
25. California Notice at Collection
Depending on how you use Bidt, we may collect the following categories of information:
- Identifiers, such as name, email address, telephone number, IP address, and account identifiers
- Customer records information, such as contact and account information
- Commercial information, such as subscription history, Provider Connections, bids, and marketplace activity
- Internet or electronic activity, such as device information, logs, pages viewed, and feature usage
- Geolocation information, such as Project addresses, ZIP codes, cities, and service areas
- Professional or employment-related information, such as Provider business information, licensing information, and qualifications
- Audio, electronic, visual, or similar information, such as photographs, uploaded images, and identity-verification materials processed through verification providers
- Sensitive personal information, where applicable, such as government identification information used for identity verification or precise Project-location information
We collect these categories for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including operating the Platform, facilitating Provider Connections, verifying Providers, processing subscriptions, preventing fraud, securing the Platform, complying with law, and providing support.
We retain each category only for as long as reasonably necessary for the disclosed purposes, subject to legal, accounting, security, dispute, and fraud-prevention requirements.
26. Other U.S. State Privacy Rights
Residents of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Utah, and other states with applicable comprehensive privacy laws may have rights concerning access, correction, deletion, portability, sales, targeted advertising, profiling, sensitive data, or appeals.
Because state privacy laws continue to evolve, Bidt will provide rights required by applicable law based on the user's jurisdiction and Bidt's legal obligations at the relevant time.
Nothing in this Privacy Policy is intended to waive a privacy right that applicable law does not permit a consumer to waive.
27. Sensitive Personal Information
Certain information processed through Bidt may qualify as sensitive under applicable privacy laws.
This may include government identification information supplied for Provider identity verification and, in some circumstances, precise location information.
Bidt processes sensitive information only for purposes reasonably related to operating, securing, verifying, and protecting the Platform or as otherwise disclosed and legally permitted.
Where applicable law requires consent before processing sensitive personal information, Bidt or its applicable service provider will request that consent.
28. Children's Privacy
Bidt is intended for users who are at least 18 years old.
Bidt is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through account registration.
If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child in violation of applicable law, we will take reasonable steps to delete or otherwise address the information.

29. Account Deletion
Where available, users may request account deletion through their account settings or by contacting support@contactbidt.com.
Deleting an account may remove or deactivate the user's active profile and Platform access.
Bidt may retain limited historical information when reasonably necessary for:
- Legal compliance
- Accounting
- Fraud prevention
- Security
- Marketplace integrity
- Dispute resolution
- Enforcement
- Other lawful purposes
Public or shared information may not disappear immediately from every context if retention is legally permitted or operationally necessary.
30. Third-Party Links
Bidt may contain links to websites, payment services, Provider websites, or other third-party services.
Bidt is not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties.
Users should review the privacy policies of third-party services before providing personal information directly to them.
31. Provider Responsibilities for Customer Data
Providers receiving Customer information through Bidt must use that information only for legitimate Project-related purposes or other purposes separately authorized by the Customer.
Providers may become independently responsible under applicable privacy, communications, or data-protection laws for information they retain or process outside Bidt.
Bidt does not control Provider databases, telephone systems, email systems, estimating systems, or other independent business tools.
Customers should direct requests concerning information held independently by a Provider to that Provider.
32. Do Not Track and Privacy Preference Signals
Browser and device privacy signals continue to evolve.
Where applicable law requires Bidt to recognize legally valid opt-out preference signals, Bidt will process those signals as required.
A browser's generic “Do Not Track” setting may not have a uniform legal or technical meaning.
33. Changes to This Privacy Policy
Bidt may update this Privacy Policy as our Platform, technology, marketplace, vendors, or legal obligations change.
When changes are material, we will provide notice as required by applicable law. We may provide notice through:
- The Platform
- Account notices
- Other appropriate methods
The “Last Updated” date at the top of this Privacy Policy identifies the latest revision.
34. International Users
Bidt is currently intended primarily for use in the United States.
If users access Bidt from outside the United States, information may be processed and stored in the United States or other jurisdictions where Bidt's service providers operate.
Bidt may restrict access from jurisdictions it does not support.
